Criminal Law:

Most recently, Mr. McDowell successfully defended an individual in the United States
District Court after a four day jury trial for charges of felon and possession of a
handgun in United States of America vs. D'Andre Williams.  As a prosecutor for
10 years with the State's Attorney's Office, Mr. McDowell tried cases before a jury
ranging from DWI to Murder.  He has effectively used PowerPoint Presentations in
both opening statements and closing arguments.

Insurance Law:

In January, 2001, Mr. McDowell represented plaintiffs in a suit against an insurance
agent who "twisted" his client's life insurance policies by repeatedly canceling the life
insurance policies and replacing them with new policies. The agent was represented by
Niles, Barton & Wilmer.  After a four day trial the jury yielded a plaintiff's verdict
within 25 minutes.  The jury later stated that the PowerPoint presentation Mr.
McDowell used during closing argument was most helpful in elucidating the evidence
and clarifying the law for them.

Breach of
Contract:

Greene v. MCR of America, Inc. (No. 01274, September Term, 2000, Maryland
Court of Special Appeals) Mr. McDowell successfully defended a corporation sued
for more than $250,000 for allegedly breaching an executive employment contract.
After a three day hearing conducted by The American Arbitration Association, the
arbitrator entered an award on behalf of MCR.  Legal fees and costs of arbitration
were awarded to MCR in the amount of $60,073.
In Startile, Inc.  v. J. Frank, Inc., Mr. McDowell successfully represented Startile
in a suite to recover money for breach of a construction contract.  The Defendant
appealed the case which this firm successfully won again at the appellate level.  The
Defendant represented by Wright, Constable & Skeen.

Torts:

In Matthews v. Germantown Injury Care Center, Inc., Mr. McDowell
represented Germantown Injury Care Center, Inc. in a $10,000,000 law suit alleging
violation of the Bankruptcy Act in effort to collect a debt from a former patient.  The
patient had ignored District Court process and subsequently arrested.  After a
successful defense in the United States District Court for the Southern District of
Maryland, Matthews appealed the case to the United States Court of Appeals for the
Fourth Circuit.  Mr. McDowell successfully argued the case before the Fourth Circuit,
which rendered per curium decision in his favor.

Auto Tort:

Mr. McDowell has successfully litigated on behalf of plaintiffs a host of motor tort
cases.

Professional
Negligence:

Hammons v. Tselepsis,
Case No. 12-C-98-0327790C

Peter T. McDowell represented Ronald Hammons, R&K Automotive and Getty Mart
in their suit against their accountant, John Tselepsis, CPA, for professional negligence.
Tselepsis agreed to perform personal accounting services for Mr. Hammons as well as
accounting services for his two businesses, R&K Automotive and Getty Mart.
Tselepsis failed to timely file employment tax returns and made an error in a tax return,
all of which resulted in penalties and interest from the IRS.  Hammons demanded
$27,430.  Tselepsis offered $15,000 to settle.  After a two day jury trial, the jury
returned a verdict in favor of Mr. Hammons for $20,430.  Although the jury was
capped in the amount of damages it could award, the jury read a gratuitous statement
after their verdict indicating that they would have like to have awarded the defendant
another $20,000 above what the judge would permit.
